North of downtown Northbrook is the Meadow Shopping Plaza, which hosts Northbrook’s Farmer’s Market between June and October.

Village Green Park hosts the Northbrook Little League team, live concerts, and the Fourth of July celebration.
Named after famed cyclist and speedskater, the
Ed Rudolph Velodrome park has offered cycle racing, training, and entertainment for over 30 years. Top cyclists from around the Midwest come to Velodrome to participate in weekly races. Northbrook residents are encouraged to use the track when it’s not reserved for practice, competitions, or just plain fun.
If you spend any time in Northbrook, you may notice some familiar landmarks from your favorite movies. Director John Hughes used Glenbrook North High School as the backdrop for his films Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club.
