Delicious food is easy to come by in Wilmette as dozens of locally-owned restaurants serve various cuisines. Sophia Steak prides itself on serving great steak, but they don't stop there.

Their kitchen also cooks fresh seafood, salad, sides, and even burgers. Speaking of seafood, Burhop's is known as one of the finest seafood markets and restaurants in the North Chicago area. Diners can enjoy a delectable "sea-to-table" meal of crab legs, lobster, shrimp, and much more.
Wilmette is also full of culture and entertainment on every corner. The famed Wilmette Theatre enhances the movie-going experience by providing lush, comfortable seating, delicious snacks, and popular films and movies. Established in 1951, the Wilmette Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving Wilmette's history by sharing the community's stories.

One attraction unique to Wilmette is The Bahá'í House of Worship. The magnificent architecture of the temple is a reflection of the Baha'i Faith. The temple welcomes visitors of all faiths and even hosts group tours, weddings, and celebrations. The temple strives to educate visitors about the Baha'i Faith while providing a welcoming space for people to worship.

Centennial Park and Recreation Center host an indoor swimming pool, ice rinks, and tennis courts. The ice rink is home to the Wilmette Hockey Association and other local hockey clubs Members of the park can also reserve a plot in the community gardens to grow plants and vegetables to show off their green thumbs.

What's better than relaxing on the beach on a hot summer day? Gillson Park and Beach is 60 acres of fun that families and residents have enjoyed for decades. Guests can have a picnic in the pavilion and then go for a dive at the swimming beach. There is even a Dog Beach, allowing for off-leash play for pet owners to enjoy.
